Rufus Coleman (b. 1971) is a member of the Rollin' 60s Crips gang, and an inmate at San Quentin State Prison for the 1996 murder of Walter Regis. He had previously served a five-year term at Corcoran State Prison during the late 1980s and early 1990s. He is the father of a daughter.

In 2012, he was visited by LAPD detective Harry Bosch regarding the Beretta model 92 that Coleman used to kill Regis, which had recently become linked to the 1992 murder of photojournalist Anneke Jesperson. Coleman could not have killed Jesperson because he was in Corcoran at the time, but he had potentially important information about the gun. Bosch offered Coleman a positive recommendation for parole in return for identifying the source of the gun. Coleman was coming up for parole hearing soon and he decided to accept Bosch's offer. He said the gun was given to him by another Rollin' 60s member, Trumont Story, who also ordered the killing.
